Meet Mrs. Scheideler
How long have you been a teacher?
I graduated from Peru State College in 2004, and my first teaching career was with 7-12 Language Arts and English classes. After working with many junior high and high school students, I’m so excited that I have had the opportunity to work with elementary students every day!
What do you teach at St. Mary’s School?
I teach vocal music to all of our students. I also have the opportunity to work with students to improve their reading, writing, and math skills.
What are some unique qualities or skills you possess?
One quality of which I’m proud is my ability to be flexible in my work environment. I try my hardest to help our students and teachers…even if it means taking on a new challenge.
Who is your favorite Saint?
I have so many Saints on my Saint Squad! St. Elizabeth Seton is the patron of Catholic Schools. St. Cecilia is the patron of music. St. Francis looks after all of my barn cats and my big dog Zeus. St. Rita watches over me every day and St. Monica helps me have patience!
What do you love about St. Mary’s School?
Our teachers, staff, parents, and friends work so hard to take care of our school. I love that we work together to make our school a positive, educational, and safe environment for our students. We can respect and love every person regardless of their beliefs. I hope everyone feels welcome.
Where can we find you?
Singing with students and helping to work on our next fundraiser at St. Marys! At home you’ll find me in my garden!
